So many people are flabbergasted that leaked source code will eventually lead to security vulnerabilities and bashing on the "quality" of the code without even seeing it, have probably never worked a day on a massive 15-year-old codebase.There are a lot of suppositions here over something that was never said. The "real problem" that you are talking about was a repo with 3 files: (1) a HTML file with simple list, (2) a JS file and (3) a README.md file describing what I had to do. All 3 files combined had at most 50 lines of code. Another company's code just isn't that valuable. Stealing their tech is risky for any company trying to operate within the law.
